Default Rockstar XDs, E-fan

Hey guys, two question post.

First, who has Rockstar XDs and who loves em? How much did you pay? They are the only rim I would ever consider putting on my truck.

Second, I'm considering getting an E-fan.. To have a professional shop install it approx how much would you guys say it costs?
Also, do you have to manually turn it on or can you have it automatically turn on and off? Or am I missing the point?
The issue is I don't want to let someone borrow my truck or let my wife drive it and forget to turn the fan on.. That could be bad.

I have no idea what it would cost to have a shop to install it but it is a very simple install so it shouldn't cost alot, but you never know when you go to a shop. You can have it automatically come on with a controller. There are lots of different controllers out there from cheap pre-set controllers to more expensive adjustable controllers.

Hey, I love the xd wheels myself. I would only put those on or the srt 10 wheels but thats it. Your going to pay about 950 including shipping for these.I have checked them out at different sites and there mostly all the same. Good luck

You should have a controller w/ any e-fan to tell it when to cut on/off. The flex-a-lite or a new fan (rather than a junkyard one) is a smarter option b/c they are less likely to fail which could cause your truck to overheat if you don't check the gauges and spot it before it's too late.

A shop will prob charge a pretty penny because the Fans are not a direct fit. You need to cut the shroud and test fit..etc.

You will need 2 temp sensors so it can be completely automatic no switches or anything involved. You could wire up an override on the 2nd high temp sensor if you wanted, but again, that may cost more $$$$$ if a shop is doing it.

I paid $2000 for my chromes with nitto dune grapplers. I didn't like the way the center cap sat away from the rim so i trimmed the studs and bolts, now they sit in tight and look awsome.

Your truck looks almost like mine. I like the way those rims and Terras look. I'd get 33"s though since I don't have any interest in getting a lift/levelling kit. Is yours 4X4?
