Default Electrical issue

My truck just started showing the airbag light off and on. What's weird is that the compass and temp reset in the overhead as well a couple of times.

It did this once on Tuesday night, but it didn't happen again. I pulled a 3000lb trailer for the last 2 days for over 500 miles, no issue. I unhooked the trailer today, and again, it's back. I also had one slow start, took 3 or 4 cranks to get going. This was this morning, I was unloaded, but in below 32f weather. It's normally a quick start.

Any ideas? Other than a 2 month old headunit, nothing has changed with the electrical.

Sometimes a bad alternator or battery will make your electrical units do funny stuff. if your alternator isn't charging the battery properly, it can confuse the computer. In some instances it will start turning off unimportant things so it can keep the motor running. I would start with those two and have them tested.

Thanks. I have an electrical guy, and he's going it look at it in the next couple of days. My electrical gauge looks fine, but I know that's probably only part of the story.

My guy took a look, and said she's all good. He said it was the head unit that was messing with things, and communications between things but every system was working as it should.
