Default 04 synthetic switch, need help..

Looking at switching off conventional oil. I know this is talked about all the time but I have narrowed it down to mobil1, RP, and amsoil. What are everyones thoughts. I have 44000 on it now with no problems!

You should be fine switching over, just run a shorter drain than the typical 5k miles on the first couple changes of synthetic as it cleans up.

There are a ton of opinionated answered to your question. Mobile 1 and RP are what most used with a few others being Amsoil. The question is how much can you afford and how readily available is RP and Amsoil in your area if thats what you want to use.

RP is good. It made some of my minor tick go away but since doing a cam swap and longer pushrods i dont expect it to be there now any more anyway. i didnt have any mpg increase as they say you will. But im about to change to mobile 1 because RP is getting too hard to get around here now.

You can switch back and forth from dino to syn. no problem. I would start out w/ one of the cheaper synthetics since it's a good idea to run a couple short OCI's while it cleans up what the dino left behind and then switch to RP if you want to run it. Also run a good filter like a pureone or mobil 1.
