infinity subwoofer

Default infinity subwoofer

i was wondering if the infinity sub for the single cab will hook up to my factory non infinity single cd headunit. also is the cab pre ran with the wires?

you can if you get a PAC converter from radio shack . just have to tap your rear speakers. if you are amping it . and no, no pre wires in your truck

i think yuod be better off building your own box and putting a better sub and amp in your truck.....them factory set-ups suck imho....

i was just wondering if it was prewired to work off my factory system because i didnt want to re do the whole system for a sub.

no its not prewired sorry . but like i said PAC converter is like 10 bucks and you can wire it yourself with some knowledge

s there any way to get it to work in my truck. i dont want anything to loud. just a little more then what i have and i like the look of the infinity,

The converter is so you can run your amp, IIRC. You still have to run power wire, ground wire, and maybe a remote wire too. Tap the converter into your rear speakers, and then you run the rca's from that to the amp, along with the power/ground/remote wires....

Edit: this is the process for running any amp/sub combo off of the factory HU. Not just for the Infinity stuff. If you still have to find an amp, might as well just hunt for something else besides factory

Your best bet instead of running power and ground wires is to get a bass tube with an amp already built in. It's the easiest way with the least amount of additional wiring. It can be powered off of any 12 volt source in the truck and by simply splicing into the speaker wire closest to it.

the seperate sub and amp will sound better but the bass tube sounds better suited for what you're using it for.
