exhaust question
option one. Keep the y pipe add one mufler that has one inlet, two out lets.
option two. remove the y pipe, mufler shop will weld in a pipe of the right ex manifold, and weld in a pipe on the left, booth ex pipes will no longer meet in a Y, each pipe flows into a right mufler, left mufler.
The cats are a head of the Y pipe ( on my 06 2500 )
Look under your truck, its all thier in plain sight.
I did not know that Mangna flow makes a Y pipe ( Not had any luck with thier muflers ), Yes its expensive to convert to duals for a daily driver, not worth it, but for towing or hauling or high way driving, its worth it.

my concern is this. i want ppl to know im comin from behind b4 i get there. i want my truck to b ridiculously loud, regardless of price.
my only major concern is if theres a noticeable difference between running dual headers versus running a Y pipe off a single cat, then id do that

You want loud? Headers, magnaflow Y-pipe into a 3" pipe into the cat into 3" inlet dual 2.5" outlet Cherry Bomb Extreme or Cherry Bomb Vortex. Perfect balance of noise and performance, both those mufflers flow like crazy and sound great. Headers will run you a bit of $, but if you ignored the headers, the rest of the work will run you less than $400 for parts and labor at any decent shop.
i was kinda thinkin bout that. trucks registered in VA right now so runnin straight pipe wont work up there. but im stationd in SC where they dont do inspections so if i get my truck registerd here then i just might do it
