This is my first truck and I know very little about working on vehicles. I want to start working and learning. Any ideas on something a novice could do? I have a 04 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab. It has smaller stock rims and I am looking for stock rims from the big horn or laramie. Does anyone know a good place to find stock rims for cheap? I'm pumped about getting started I just need some ideas thanks.

As for finding OEM but bigger rims, I would definately look on Craigslist. I see them ALL the time there and that is where I sold my stock 20s a long time ago. A homemade powerwire is a simple and quick mod. Aftermarket tails and chrome overlay handles are simple.

I think JoeHemi has the right idea though about looking at other peoples sigs and getting some ideas on what they have done, how hou like it and then decide if you want to add that or go in that direction.

 

i thought that list looked familar i was thinking since when did joe do this stuff? then it clicked.....i'd start with intake and exhaust....and a powerwire and then some appearance mods those are the easiest....then start with somemore complex stuff....changing oil and trans fluids are easy too just start by reading alot of threads and posts and the faq section lots of good info here ...and knowledgable people.....

LOL, i do that whenever someone asks this question. There's just so many options someone can pick in your sig to do, it's just easier to copy & paste rather than sit down and say the typical answers, "cai, wheels, fully synthetic all around, etc"
