Default tires, questions?

so im looking at replacing my tires(nitto mud grapplers 35/12.5/20) with cooper zeon ltz's, apparently a very popular tire on dodge forum...

im looking at the 305/50/20 ltz's, how much smaller of a tire is this?
will the ride quality change drastically?
milage difference, life span?

i checked a tire size calculator and it said it 305/50/20 = 32x12x20 so its about 3 inches shorter and half an inch less wide im thinking the wheel well is going to look kind of empty without those three inches

i was looking around last night and i saw your truck i think it would be better getting a stock tire size 275/60/20 witch is a 33 inch tire since it looks kind of crowded under with 35's(i thought you had a 6 in lift with 35's unless your getting a lift) i also found two great threads with some comments on these tires

Do you have a lift on your truck? If not how did you fit 35's on a stock ride?

well it is leveled and i was gonna put a lift oon it but i never got around to it and the nittos were free, thats why i have them...
Not sure what i want to do, between juggling college and working i never have time to play with it and do what i want, im adding the easy stuff, audio systems, cold air intakes, exaust, just never have the time or patience to do the lift and suspension stuff...
