Default OK..Lets see who is the best...

Since being a member of DF, I have seen many creative ideas to customize trucks. I have also noticed that there are some members that have more insight than others and have loaded their trucks with all kinds of modifications. I myself love to add mods to my truck, but sometimes dont have the money or time to get the look I want. Some other members might feel the same as I do and for that, I want to throw out a challenge for all you "MOD PROS"......

Who can come up with the most creative idea for a modication to your RAM and make it the most reasonably priced and time efficient?

This is a thread for you guys to show other DF members what you've got and show off your skillzzz. Be creative and make me think to myself, "Wow, that is a cool idea! I want to do that to mine!"

Being cheap and creative at the same time usually leads to a can of spray paint and some stickers....

x2 i made my truck up for less then $150. but its a lot of work keeping it looking nice after awhile without upgrading to better, more sturdy parts.

Your single best bet is to learn how to do mods yourself. Often LABOR is the single highest cost of any mod. For example, you could spend $350 on a 3" body lift kit and then pay anywhere from $500-$1000 to have it installed. Besides, nothing beats the pride you have for your truck when you finish a mod on your own as opposed to just taking it to someone and whipping out a credit card.

To date, about the only mod I've not done myself is my gears and LSD and it actually bothers me at times that I did not do it, even though I know there was no way I was going to able to set gears without f*cking them up!!!

I am exactly with hammer on this. Ive done everything to my truck myself and on my own and like him, minus the gears and LSD. To me it was cheaper to pay a guy 250 to install them and already has the tools than it was for me to go buy the special tools I would use ONE time.

I just bought a PA 3" BL and will be installing it soon. Who will help me? No one I imagine but thats mainly because there are no other Dodge enthusiast around here. So its all up to me and my Rotts.

Frog, you forgot about the stick out portholes.

Agreed with Hammer. If its a mod that is truly out of your limit, I wouldn't attempt it. Im lucky and have a dad that has tools to do most things. He's the guy that went out and bought and OTC Genesis so we could work on the computer systems.
But there is a pride to doing your own work, you can look at it and know it was yours. I do go back on, lets say the gears, if you can't or don't know how don't do it. Most guys here use their truck as a DD and can't afford to screw something up royally, so take it to the shop.
