You have everything blacked out so either would be an excelent choice. I think though IMO that chrome bars would make the fact that everything is blacked out stand out a little more. Kinda break things up a little.

That's what I have on my truck, but the reason their so cheap is they bolt to the cabs pinch weld and the brackets have a little flex to them. Also, I had to hack a 1 1/2" off the front to use them with the factory style mud flaps and the hardware is bright chrome, sticks out like a sore thumb, so I had to spend a couple more bucks at the parts shop on color match paint to hide them.

But I've had them on for a year now and they're holding up. The brackets flexing still bugs me a little but I don't see any wear associated with it and I'm contemplating taking the tread plate off and applying some bedliner or some type of non-skid surface to them since my girlfriends shoes have slipped off them a couple times.

Ive had four sets of nerfs thru the years, one chrome no-name, one black no-name, one black Westin and my current chrome Westins.

nothing but problems with the no name crap. Pitting chrome and losing a step pad on the highway on one, paint not lasting a year and rusting on the other.
Spend the extra and get a good set!!!

I think your truck would look great in black or Polished Stainless. If you go stainless, you really never have to worry about rust. I've had mine since delivery on mine, with salted roads every year, no problems. If you opt to go painted black, you might consider have them sprayed with bed liner before you put them on. Then no rusting if they do get rock chipped--so to speak.
