Default Broken Clip Question

Those with broken clips.
Was there an indication something was wrong or did you find out through routine maintenance/lube change?

I opened mine because it was making a vibration when I took off from a start in a turn, like turning from a stop light. I think mine is pretty much shot now. I stepped on it in the rain the other day and only one wheel spun. That and when I took the tires off to work on the brakes the other day, with both rears in the air, I could spin one wheel while it was in park. Wasn't exactly freewheeling, took some effort, but I remember before not being able to spin the tires unless it was in "N".

If it gets to the point where you hear/feel something wrong, then it's probably gotten to the point where it's damaged ring, pinion, housing, spiders, etc...

No noise on mine, I must be one of the luckier ones.

I found mine when I pulled the coevr to change oil for maintenance. As for grabbing when going around the corner, it could just the the clutches grabbing like that and it needs some LSD additive. Only one way to find out though.

I thought about that, but it did go away after I took out the broken pieces of the clip. I never did put the LSD additive in though, I was told if you ran full synthetic you didn't really need it. Probably bad advice though, as I stated earlier I think my LSD is shot now and just working as an open diff. Oh'well, just ordered $830 in exhaust parts so it's gonna be a lil bit before I can afford the DTT, plus the baby due in March, that's gonna be a real $$ killer.
