Angry Cam Caps

Would anyone know where I can find a set of cam caps
for an 04 ram 1500 4.7l? I have 4 broken cam caps on the drivers
side and i need to replace them. It all started from having to replace the
pick up tube and remove all sludge from the oil pan. After replacing the
pan and pickup tube, i filled it with oil. pressure is fine but... there is knock
sound coming from the engine. So took off the valve covers and found 4
broken caps. Can anyone steer me in the right direction to where i can
find the caps? I called the dealership and they said i would have to buy
the head. At $1300 a piece. No way i can afford that.

Only thing I can think of is a wreckers with one in there with a blown motor where they will let you take pieces off it.. There has to be some sort of aftermarket company out there that will sell it though. Try and find just a part number for the cap and then take that to dodge, they are pretty fuhckin useless when it comes to a parts counter..

I have called all the auto parts stores and junk yards around my area and no one
has anything. Dodge told me I would have to replace the whole head. Thats $1300.00
per head and I'm going to have to have both heads.

With the ammount of cracked heads I've read about out there on the 4.7, surely there's got to be a set of heads laying around with good caps on it. Or do they re-use the caps when they replace a cracked head? I would start looking around here for someone that has already replaced thier heads and find out what they did with thier old parts.

The heads aren't cracked. Its just the caps that are bolted over the camshaft that
holds the camshaft in place. It looks like i may have to replace the cam on the
drivers side to. 4 caps driver side are broke and 3 on passenger side cracked. If i
can't find caps i may have to buy some used heads somewhere.

I know your heads aren't cracked, what I'm saying is find someone who had a head crack and see if they have the parts they took off when they replaced thier head. If the caps come with the new head, they should have the old ones with the junk head, unless they had to be returned for a core or something.
