im looking into buying a 3rd gen 2002-2005 4.7 or 5.7. i want to know what are the common failures that they have

Front brakes and transmissions. Some people have had issues with their rear axles. I have an 03 w/5.7 and the only issue I really had was the **** stock front brakes. Once they are upgraded (Power Slot/Hawk) it's a non-issue.

Those that have trans issues are using the ones hitting 2nd prime. IMO, you really dont see alot of issues. Granted an individual truck may have some issues but I honestly cant say that they all share a common failure or downfall together.

The 545RFE seems to be a pretty good transmission. Very few problems reported.
The 45RFE seems to be doo doo.
I run my Predator with the front and rear line pressures turned all of the way up to hopefully help the trans live a long, healthy life.

ive had my truck for almost two years now and the one thing that really urks me about this truck is....... farts stay in these damn seats forever! ill fart like 10 minutes before i get out and 30 mins later i come back and its 10x worse! like it took it in and mixed it with arsenic or somethin

That is true!! I thought it was just me. But theu DO absorb and SLOWLY release.
