Fluid change clarifications please...
Just bought a used 07 Ram quad cab 4x4 with the hemi and big horn package. Has just over 30,000 miles and am pretty **** on things and want to do all the service on it myself. Can someone answer a few and verify what i am thinkin is correct? Been reading archives all morning...lol
Oil and filter....7 qts and will likely go to Mobil One syn 5-20 with the mopar filter
Front diff... 75-90 about 2.5 qts? Can I use the Mobil One 75-90 which is synthetic although stock id dino?
Rear diff... 75-140 Mobile One syn or RP 2.5 qts.... add LSD additive anyways even though oil says dont have too? I do have limited spin diff...
Trans.... for a pan drop and filter change....2 filters, a screw on one and flat one...probably use Valvoline or other name vrand ATF+4 I can get locally...about 7 qts
Transfer case....drain and refill with 2qts +/- of ATF+4
Sound about right? Thanks guys

That's about right. Although, if the bottle of diff fluid says it has fiction modifier then i wouldn't bother adding more...hint..hint...The "LT" bottles of Mobil 1 have friction modifier in the oil.
I would use synthetic up front.
I use Mobil 1 oil filter. It's better than the Mopar and it's made by Bosch and is specifically made for Synthetic fluids. The internals are a synthetic fiber rather than paper...i.e.Mopar...

I guess in the end as long as you keep up with regular mainenance is prob doesn't make a whole lot of difference.
