pioneer or kenwood. that is all. i'd rather have a used pioneer/kenwood than a new random brand.

Do you want a flip out? Screen thats like 7"?

If so, only thing I feared is theft or attempt for a crook to attempt.

I don't got a high end name brand, but I go the DP Video DP434

Has a 4.3" screen.
Easily to bypass to watch movies on dvd / sd card / thumb drive ect.
It is touch screen and has a remote.
Greatest thing is that it was less the $170.00, it has a detachable face.

I am pushing off the head unit my new Clarions in the doors and got a probox rocking with a Boston Acoustic amp.
Sounds great for what I paid and all the goodies this sucker has.
It also plays MP3 and video files in WMA & DIVX. I does read CD-R, DVD+/-/RW's also.
Has an output to hookup back up camera and another one so that you could add more screens if wanted to.
The next model up from this one, is bluetooth enable.

Good luck, lots of good head units to choose from. I am just sharing my thoughts of my budget HU.

I have a Clarion "flip out"....I like it a lot, but aesthetic wise I wish I would have bought a double din pioneer. I paid $650 for it. They are nice and look pretty sweet from the outside, and mine has an automatic bluetooth hookup so that as soon as I get around my truck, it starts playing music/picks up calls from my phone.

Well I guess you could also get a Kia Rio instead of a Nissan GT-R, its bigger AND cheaper...haha the cheapest is usually not the best route man, I figured that out a long time ago. Especially with electronics
