problems with clutch cancel
im new at this , so bear with me. i have tried everything in my power to figure out what is wrong with my clutch setup. currently , if the temperature drops below abotu 15 to 20 degrees 9 which is quite often) , the clutch cancel switch freezes up and will not let me turn over the ignition? ive tried messing around with the switch on the clutch pedal and bypassing it , but i havent had any success with that either! has anyone else had this problem or know what it might be? is there a second safety in the hydraulics on the clutch cylinder? im in some desperate need of help and dont have the money to pay a mopar tech 500 bucks to look at it. can anyone help me?
It may not be the swtich if you bypassed it and it still won't crank. I would look elsewhere like the starter. You need to check for 12v to the small terminal on the solenoid when cranking and it doesn't turn over. If you have 12v, then the starter could be bad. If not, then it could be the PCM or the ignition switch. There is no hyd. pressure switch that I have ever seen.
i dont think its the ignition. when the key is on and you go to turn it over , it just does nothing. there is good power and the dash lights all kick on like normal. for some reason , i just have to push it in the shop and let it warm up with a propane heater. getting to be a real pain. the problem is that it is just so unpredictable. only does it in the single digit cold weather
