Default Help asap!

Well early last week on Monday the check light came on as soon as I turned the vehicle on and was idling rough which was weird since the night before it was running fine. So I took it down to the shop ran the codes and it said it was a cylinder #4 misfire. So we replaced the ignition coil because the guy who ran the code Will, I work with him on a regular basis, said it was the coil. After changing the coil truck runs like a champ again can't even tell the truck is on when it's idling cause it's running smoother than normal. Friday night it's running fine the all of a sudden at around 65 I got on the gas to accelerate it begins to bog down hard, misfirng, almost jumping down the road I get off the gas and check everything no Check Engine light no chime gauges are perfect. I get back on the gas to see if it does it again and it runs fine. It did it one more time that night so I parked it and let it sit looked around nothing seem out of the ordinary truck runs fine till this morning. I'm on the highway taking my girlfriend home and at 60 I get on the gas to go around a slower car and it does it again and this time the Check Engine light chimes flashes a few times then shuts off. Get off the gas then get back on it and it's fine???!?!?!?! I've parked it and truck hasn't moved since cause I don't want it to mess something up.

It's a 2004 Ram 1500 QC, 4.7L, 114,000 miles

Also the Cruise Control has been on the two times it's done this. When it's running fine the Cruise Control has been off.

All this month we've gotten over 3-6" a day, a couple big puddles but nothing serious.

I would guess that the TPS (throttle position sensor) was going bad as I had similar symptoms on an old car when the TPS was crapping out. The issue w/ it only happening when the CC is on is kind of weird though. When was the last time you changed your spark plugs?

I've only had the truck for a year and a half. When I bot it at 104,000 the dealer who seemed like a trust worthy guy said he just changed everything out

Well you might want to pull one or two and check the gap, that should tell you if the guy was full of it.
