My 318 had a somewhat similar problem. For a brief time, EVERYTIME I would start it, it would immediately die...and/or bounce around with a low idle, unless I kept the gas on it. Many told me a fuel problem, many told me the TPS sensor. About a month ago, I unplugged the TPS sensor, and plugged it back in a couple of times. In and out, in and out. I was surprised, the problem hasnt happened since, EXCEPT once or twice in the last month...... before that it was doing it every day at start-up, I wasnt driving it for a month!!! A mechanic friend of mine said that corrosion could very well be it, and that simply unplugging and plugging in the component could clear some of it off. Hope that helps, its an easy thing to try.

Well, I hope this will help. You described my 05 Ram problem to a "T"... After 5 trips to the dealership we finially got it fixed. A few months ago I had my friend put on an after-market transmission filter. BAD IDEA for that truck! Filter didnot seal properly. Torgue converter was keeping too much pressure on engine at "STOPS". Engine would die. Just like stopping in a "standard" without pushing in clutch... Dealership had tried MAP sensor, pvc, new throttle body (put my old one back on after cleaning). Please try a new factory transmission filter. Mine now runs like a new truck. Good luck and let us know.

Mine did that a few years back over and over again. Then it finally threw a code said it was the cam position sensor. I replaced it and the problem went away. If yours has not thrown a code yet, maybe it will soon to help resolve it. Good luck!!

Couldnt read you fix there xxxcowboyxxx but that stalling problem is typically caused by a EGR valve thats sticking open.
