Rubber frog has a point. Maybe stash a little bit in savings or something. 10k is a nice down payment on a house. LOL, I sound like an old fart, but I think in the long run it would better.

But I know you want to mod, so.... I would go with a SC. My thought process, is if your going to drop the money, drop it hard, and do it right.

I doubt that's true. I know people that are totally against what we are doing (I'm not one of them) but they still appreciate our military. If they don't, I'd be glad to show them the door out of the country.

I hate to argue with you Truck'n but a complete turbos system from KRC (STS TURBO) with lifetime of custom tuning runs more than 3k at the worst. And a nice cam for under 500 with all the parts needed in addition. Thats if you can install the cams and turbo. And a turbo install, I have not done one but read up on them, is not all that hard. Get the majority done and have a exhaust shop weld up the pipes. And since you get the tuner from KRC you have the ability to tune for the cams and turbo working together. If you do those two I would go ahead and upgrade to LT headers and a TQ converter. That would be a truck to be reckoned with.

GL with whatever route you chose.

Thank you many times over for what you are doing to protect and defend our country.

I would have to agree with OE, Although i think the turbo kit is a little more. I looked it up when I first read this thread... let me see if I can get another link.

This was about 1.5 minutes of google search... a little more than 3k though.

Ok thats fine they were all just rough estimates, but just looking around for an actual STS System the one for the 03-04's are going for a little over $4k and the ones for the 05-06's are going for around $6k, nothing mentioned about the 07's or 08's, and the truck in question is an 08'...

KRC has a turbo system that is about $2000 including tuning. Then I believe the intercooler is about another $500. I was on the list to get one of these systems but it has taken them so long to get the buy together that I have just moved on. It claims around 40-50% increase in power.
