I think I may get rid of the Gibson in the spring. I'm going to an exit behind the tire b/c the behind the cab exit is quite loud. I work out of town and drive anywhere from 200 to 500 miles a week and the noise can get to ya even with the radio up. I had a rear exit magnaflow on my last truck (06 hemi) and it wasn't nearly as loud.

Quote: Being that video is inside a garage..The sound actually echoes and is a very unfair video clip. That exhaust probably can't even be heard outside as it's very mellow and low toned. Little too mellow or low for me.
Fair enough but I've listened to a half dozen clips or more and most weren't in a garage and they sound pretty darn good to me. Here's another below. I realize they aren't gonna be loud enough for some people's taste but they are plenty loud for me. Mellow and low is what I want. I want to hear "nicely tuned hemi V8", not "hey look at me and cover your damn ears because I'm that obnoxious". LOL

Not anymore - I realized that and replaced it about 5 minutes before you posted.

Not sure if this matters to you, but the Super Truck exhaust is not recommended for towing. I considered them for myself a while back, but that was a deal-breaker. I'm not sure why they're not recommended for towing, but I thought you might want to know. Maybe you already did.

I would imagine the super truck exhaust is going to give you that "hey look at me I'm coming from half a mile a way" sound. I say this only because i recently installed the gibson side swept exhaust on my hemi and honestly, any louder than that I wouldn't be able to have conversations inside my truck. Now gibson rates the side swept exhaust at a level 4-5 over stock. The super truck setup is rated on the top of the scale at 10. Just food for thought.

Quote: The guy in the yt video has something about a ramhammer. Not sure what that is but the vid does show what looks like some sort of cold air/enhanced intake. Does that have much influence on the sound or volume of the exhaust? All I have is a K&N filter in the stock airbox.
You're right it is the intake. I was considering getting one awhile back, but I had no luck finding suppliers. There are some imitations available though. I think the original ram-hammer is a one piece design.

I'm not sure if what the seller is selling is actually the super truck version or the side swept version. I'll do more research and figure out exactly what I'm getting, if I get anything. It looks like stylintrucks sells these same exhaust systems every day for what this seller is asking so I don't need to rush into anything just to get a good price.

I'm not sure why some say not recommended for towing either unless it's because you can expect a lot more exhaust noise when towing. But this ebay seller is actually touting this package to be a plus for towing among other things. So, go figure.

In the 400 dollar price range, I can always back out if I'm not happy with it without losing the farm. However, if I can find one of these magnaflow deals like some people say they have found for around the same price range, that's probably more likely what I'll get.
