That price seems high for a 2wd but it all depends on what other trucks are going for in your area. What is high for my area might be average for your area.

I think a lot of people are also basing their opinions on good prices over the last couple years. Ever since gas dropped back down truck prices have been increasing

I personally don't think this is a bad deal (two years ago with gas above $4/gal you would have been able to get a similar truck that is about 3 years old for $11-12 grand). It looks like the truck is in good shape, looks like a NAV system, has a Dodge certified warranty which does have some value, the free oil changes. If the truck is in good shape with newer tires, etc. I think it is a good value. The dealers need to make money and I bet that truck would go over auction for about 13-14,500 then there is a cost to certify the vehicle. I think 16,500 for a vehicle with those miles is pretty accurate. Also, check on ebay motors and you will similar prices for 2006 Ram 2WD Quad Cab HEMIs with similar options and mileage. The used market for trucks has made a rebound in values compared to a year or two ago. Now, if you want to spend 24-26,000 you most probably could get you a 2009 new with similar options.

So, some think it is high while others think it might not be. When I search for trucks in the area, anything that is close to the price does not have 1/2 the options this truck has. But I still want to be sure. Anyother good sites to search besides cars.com, autotrader.com or carmax?

Thanks for the reply. It is clean and does have the nav system. Tires look new and only a few very minor scratches that are not deep and I should be able to get out. I would love a new truck, but am looking to make things easier(payments) for us. I am going to be getting rid of my 07 R/T charger that I love, but need to save some money.

sounds like KBB value, if you look around you will be able to find a deal, i paid $10k for my 04 5.7 QC and it had 70k mi, bed rails, running boards, aftermarket rims, and that was back in in the begining of 08, now my brother got a bad deal, he paid $18k for a 03 5.7 QC, 80k mi.,CAI,and full exhaust, back in late '07

Now the only thing that concerns me is I looked at the carfax link that was on the dealership web page and the most recent owner only had the vehicle for 6 months.
I wonder why?

Also go ahead and google the VIN 1D3HA18216J184256
The dealership you are looking at has it listed on ebay motors with an advertised price of $16,495. Was on craigslist for a price right under 18,000.

Maybe see if they would do the deal at $15,495.
