Worst case scenario ill just wire the lights up through a relay so they turn on when my headlights do. Id probably rather have it that way..
Diesel shop won't be able to help you. It's a dealer only thing. Before you pay a dealer, try to see if they work on there own. It's 50/50 on them needing to be programmed!

I did some on a Chrysler Pacifica and it worked right out of the box....on my truck however, no dice. The dealer uses a StarScan to program the PCMs.....

I have been jumping between Ebay and the Dodge Forum for the last hour. Literally 2 seconds ago I found the same listing and asked a question. I should have waited. Well, actually, I've been waiting for 5 years to put the fog lights on my truck and am finally doing it. Lights are ordered and I figure I will stop by Walmart in the morning to see if the $29.99 price for the Hella 500ff is in CT too.

Thanks for the step by step for installing the lights. Really makes me more excited to get these in.

Out of curiosity, do all trucks come wired up for the fogs? If not, what should I look for? I would love to get a set for my 1500. I've got them on my 2500 and they definitely help out on the highway.

I believe its the SLT's and ^ that have the factory harness.

Great install pics and everything OP!

BTW, I ended up not going to the dealership. Found another shop that had the Starscan computer, fixed me up for a dub. ($20).

HID's are great! I could almost use them as my only DL's, on the well lit streets anyways. 8000k might be a bit too blue, but I still like them....

Very awesome install, great step by step. How much was the kit. Where do you connect the power and what not? Or it all works into factory harnesses?
the kits cost around $120 to $150 off ebay, they connect into the factory wiring already in the truck. if i remember correctly i got mine for $120 with free shipping, and if your lucky like me they will work after you installing them and won't need to visit the dealer.

I have an '08 STX and it had the factory wiring already there. I just plugged the lights in and was done.
