Default Best cheap upgrade for headlights?

My left lowbeam went out and I was thinking about urgrading the lights, they are not very good compared to other vehicles. For a 2003 Dodge 1500 what are the options available for upgrading lights without melting my wires? I've heard of using a relay to boost voltage to the lights, and upgrading bulbs. What's everyone's thoughts? I did a search but couldn't quite find a direct answer for my question.
Thanks

What price range do you consider to be cheap? I beleive they are selling HID kits for $60 if that is in your price range.

Is there any modifications needed to use the HID bulbs or do they fit right into the housing? Judging by the term "KIT" i'm thinking there is modifications to be made.

no modification, but they do tend to blind ncoming traffic because they aren't made to go into halogen housings even though these "kits" will go right in place as they use the same base as the halogen bulbs and the connectors are plug'n'play.

They will def be much brighter, but you may get flashed so you'll have to adjuste the headlights down enough to compensate.

I've never heard anything about this. Can you expand a little?

I recommend these- https://dodgeforum.com/forum/3rd-gen...-50-bulbs.html
