leds in cubby hole help

Default leds in cubby hole help

i have 3 leds i put in the cubby through the top of the bezel but i cant seem to figure out the wiring. the have a red and black wire. i want to wire to the lighter, but which wire is the power wire? and when i do this, should i wire all 3 directly to it and ground them seperatly, or should i connect the 3 leds and then splice them in? and ow would i connect them. thanks everyon

I tied about 15 in together and then to the cig lighter. look under it, theres a red and a black going into it, just slip YOUR hot/ground into those

I have them around my feet, glove box, and then cupholder. Looks good, but I didnt put a switch so if the ign is on, the lights are ALWAYS on

If you are into wiring and and do not have either a test light or meter youre dead wrong and need to stop now. Go get the proper things you need to do the job. Seriously.

Besides, you guys know there is a plug back there (2 prong square kinda) that is the PNP for the OEM ask tray and cup holder lights right? You can tie into that and be dont with it.

What color is the this plug? Is it pictured in the OP's pix?

Its not in the pics but is a white 2 prong square plug. One wire is (+) and the other is (-)

meters are inexpensive at like harbor freight...you get what you pay for...or sears craftsman ones range from 20 bucks which are pretty good to 70 i think i have autoranging one i got from sears craftsman payed 63 and change for it and a 9v battery...if you wanna go all crazy you can buy a fluke for 300 if ya that nuts....

i wired mine to the lights in the air controls, they only come on when i turn on the headlights. i also have a switch so i can turn them off if i want

I went today to my local dodge dealership. I wanted to price out the OEM cup holder lights because I like the OEM look. They couldnt find the part. Does anyone here have the Dodge part number?
