Default Swapping headlamps a big deal?

Just got an email that my Silverstar lamps are on the way. Are they easy to access and swap out?

You need to pull head light assembly, two screws on radiator side and one screw on the bottom between headlight and bumper. Then it is easy from there!

Oh yeah and a friction plug on the fender side holding it in place just pull real hard it will pop out!!

There is enough room on the passenger side to change the bulb without pulling the headlight off, but like SMKNRAM said the drivers side is really tight and you have to pull off the headlight to get to the bulbs. Not to hard, you just need a long socket extension.

Hmm, glad I asked. Sounds like more of a pain in the rump than I thought. Does pulling the headlight out and putting it back on affect the alignment if the light?

No I don't think it affects the alignment as long as you install the light back correctly. Its really not that hard to take off and you don't have to take the drivers side light out completely just enough so you can get your hand behind it to change out the bulb.

Greg, it is not that bad at all, and NO it will not affect the alignment, that is all part of the assembly. And I will tell you a secret if you promise not to tell anyone else, the bottom bolt is a pain in the ***, and I never put mine back in, so for a little over a year I have driven around without it with no ill affects.

Maybe some cloth on the bumper under the headlight to protect the bumper from being scratched.

So, what's involved in moving the fuse box? Or are you going to tell me to go buy a manual?
