Speaking of PB Blaster, has anyone tried the new spray lube from RP? I was thinking about trying it out on my exhaust manifold bolts to see how it compares to PB.

Below is the link to my install instructions. Notice the part, in the diagram, where it says not to remove (and I assume cutaway too much of) the pipe leading from the cat to the muffler. So, I'm not sure I follow you on not mattering where I cut the stock exhaust. I need to leave enough pipe to attach the new muffler and have everything fit properly from there on back, right?

We don't have too much of a rust problem or road salt issue around here but the truck is going on 6 years old. So, I'll see how it goes.

Yeah leave that part of pipe lol. I meant after a few inches pass the cat you can cut it up wherever you want.

Looked up PB Blaster on the web. pbblaster.com. Looks like several products under that name. Is it the catalyst I want or the PB50 stuff or what?

Like Kamel and sharkhunter said PB Blaster is the $hit!!!! I removed my exhaust with a plastic hammer and a sawzall(the sawzall really expedited the process!) I could have done it one piece at a time but it would have taken alot longer, once you get the stock stuff out of the way it's all a cake walk from there installing the new stuff, The main thing is to go back over all your nuts and bolts, hangers etc, after you have driven it a few times you'll probably find a few loose ones.

In exchange for the helpful info, I'm planning to take pix and post a DIY of my deinstall/install as well as making a video of the final result to post. However, this is all assuming I end up able to do it all myself and if I can get my old'ish video camera to upload video/audio to my computer in sync. It has the capability and I haven't tried doing it in a long time but, the last time I did, I could never get the audio to match the video - sort of like a Godzilla movie.

That's the PB I was thinking it must be. Will check out Advance Auto and/or NAPA tomorrow and pick some up.

Think I might have just updated the wrong thread with this question. Anyway, exhaust install on Monday. I've got some PB Blaster. Should I start using it now and use it multiple times or just spray on a little while before taking things apart?

Hit it early and let it start working it's magic, then hit everything again like 15 minutes before you start wrenching.
