Just think of a 6.1 as a bigger, badder, better overbuilt version of a 5.7. Everything is pretty much in the same place, and some things (though not many) even interchange. I'd check out Sharadon Performance, they have a 545RFE that lives behind a supercharged 392 hemi crate engine. Stock 6.1 manifolds will NOT fit a Ram chassis. Get headers. I can't tell if you have a reg cab or quad, but if you go too far beyond stock you will grenade the shaft (quad cab shafts look like coke can over cardboard). I am planning something similar, but I am getting my suspension and brakes sorted first. I plan to use the 2 piece driveshaft setup from the SRT10 Ram. I figure if it will stand up to 800+ hp blown V10's, a stroked V8 shouldn't hurt it (and that's with a Dana 60 behind it!).
