Alright guys I have a friend who is going to sell me his rims and tires off of his truck. They are MT Classic 2's 17x9 and he has 35x12.5 baja claws mounted on them with some life left. He is going to sell them to me for $150 dollars. I have decided that i am going to crank the T-bars on my 05 4x4 about 2''s to level it out and clear those bad boys. Now the question that has been beat to death is what shocks do I need to make this all work? I have been reading posts from the search option for the last couple of hours, which has provided a ton of great info, but I still cant seem to find the answer that I am looking for. Most all shocks for the 02-05 are made at either stock or 4'' lift height. I am looking for the "impossible to find" 2'' lift shock to make this all work. I would like to get bilstein 5100's all the way around but they only make them for our stock ride. So the question is can I order ram 2500 4x4 for the front (because I believe they will work and are 2'' longer) and order the ones for the stock in the rear of my truck? Will this work or is there a 2'' longer shock out there that is made?

 

If they don't make the 2" longer shocks for your truck, why don't you try a relocation kit for 'em. Check this out.

Rough Country makes a shock for a leveled truck. The part # is 9302

On rough country's website it shows that as being a 0-1'' lift shock. They show one that is a 2-3'' lift, but it is for a 2500 and a different part number than you listed. Skyjacker also shows a 0-1'' lift for their shock height. This is very frustrating. lol

Take a look there. Those are the ones I bought (except I upgraded to the 9000 Nitro Shocks, the same part # I gave you above 9302). They say that they are good for a leveled truck. Plus, they are relatively inexpensive. I have not installed mine yet, but hopefully I can get around to it soon now that the weather is beginning to clear up and the snow is melting.

For the rears I went with Monroe Coilover Shocks. They are suppose to lift the rear of the truck about 1" or so.

I know how frustrating it can be to try and find exactly what you are looking for, but I think the Rough Country shocks will be a good match for you.

 

That's weird!!! On top gunz it says from 0-2", if you go to roughcountry.com, they say 0-1". Sometimes an inch does make a difference. IDK.
