the lts have a 3" collector and the y pipe should be 3" as well if you are getting the one from pacesetter. from there on back to the muffler is also 3". for the cutout I had a dmh which looked like it flows better than the raceland but both would work fine. IMO though the lts with a cutout were just to damn loud for me.

I think truckin pretty much covered it. Ive for a DMH on my 04 DRQC and there are pics in my sig to maybe help you out. I dont have a turn down or LTs yet although they will be installed soon.

I just installed the pacesetter ltz and it's plenty loud...I'd imagine with a cutout it would be really obnoxious lol. I went from a flowmaster catback to the pacesetter ltz and y-pipe into an AT3030....sounds amazing and it's definitely a LOT louder than the flowmaster was.

I just got a raceland cut out welded right before the muffler and its so feaking loud lol. I nice loud tone and everyone looks at me now. I would go with the raceland one cause it made good and its wireless so you open and close with just a little key chain remote. Thats all oh and its only 100 to buy. Real cheap but not cheaply made.

I did something similar, I went from the stock setup with the cutout which was loud as hell to a Borla XR-1 which was just about as loud as the cutout was, then after adding the LT's it got even louder and just sounds amazing. With the cutout open (before I sold it) and the LT's it was just stupid loud, if you have ever been around a harley with straight pipes starting up well that about what it sounds like inside the cab.

I just put my pacesetter lt's on yesterday and am running a cutout and it is sick loud. Personally, I like the DMH cutout. Seems to me a little inconvenient to have a cutout without a switch in the cab like the raceland system. As far as the turndown goes, I had it on my cutout at one point and it didn't do anything so I took it off. Just so you know, a standard 3 bolt flanged turndown does not just bolt up to the flowtech y-pipe that the DMH motor bolts on to. It takes some modification.

What is the purpose of a cutout ? Is it to draw attention from law enforcement and **** the neighbors off, or is there some kind of performance gain ?
