Yeah, in Georgia I've never had to have an inspection, but I believe if you live in the Atlanta area you do...

Our state has specific counties (not cities, the cities are within the counties) that either requires you to pass an emissions test or not. So I would bet its something similar in other states as well

Doesn't seem fair that some people within a state have to pass emissions while others do not.

I wonder if you pull the cutout motor off and bolt the cover plate on if it would still fail? Anyone ever try that?

emissions testing in my county depends on where you live inside the county. I can be required to take the test but my neighbor across the road doesn't. How goofy is that?

Just a thought it said without a proper muffler, Goto a junk yard and find a set of mufflers and put them on there when you goto inspection and take them off right after. Just a cheep idea?
