ram 4 the wife? yes, no, maybe????
Thanks yall, I appreciate the input. Yes, I did know that they did come with 20's but these are definately aftermarket and there hasn't been any brake mods to the truck to compensate for them And there is no way I'm fixing to spend the money to upgrade to brakes that can handle them just so I can keep a set of wheels that are less than as useless as.. well, you get the idea. as far as manual windows and locks, We have a 1 year old son so that is a consideration when I get to thinking about things He can abuse. Same with the vinyl floors, I live in alabama for the time being and red clay just seems to wash off a little easier than wash, scrub, vaccume, repeat, repeat, repeat, Cuss a lot, repeat, repeat, replace carpet, repeat again next year. As far as a woman who can row gears, we both thank you for the compliment. I would much rather be hangin on for dearlife and smiling as she slips the the clutch snags a gear or 2 cussing and sticking a finger at the minivan that is now getting smaller and smaller in the rearviews instead of having to hang on for dear life and scream stop because she was too busy putting on make-up, sending text messages, eating chicken wings, smoking cigaretts and working on her dance moves to the latest american idle pop star song to notice that said grocery getter is now roughly a 1/2 a car length in front of her and going about 1/4 of the speed limit that she is exceeding by about 50%. Yeah, I'm lucky. And it seems like a small price to pay to watch same sexy gear snacthing female drop her trans and replace her own clutch and cussing cause the macj=hine shop hasn't called back with her fly wheel yet and she's gotta shower and try to scrub up a little bit so she can get to the club, have a few beers and shake her A$$ cause damn it, It's saturday night!!!!!!!!!!!
^^ dayum, lol. Now, how hot did you say she was? 'Cause she's starting to sound like more of a man than I am, lol!!! (cept for the a$$ shaking part, Im more of the lean back and watch kinda guys!!
)
I fully understand your reasonings for the "plain Jane" ride. I have the good ol' VA red clay myself, but I flipped my mats over so the 'plastic' side is facing up, LOT easier to clean
That little'un will start getting into more **** in the next couple months too, so that's very good thinking.......
As far as riding with a woman, the only way that happens is when I've had a few too many frosty adult beverages, then I don't know and/or care what the hells going on!!

Hey Wewanaplay, I used to have a regular cab v6 2004 5 speed, and that thing felt like it had very good torque, more likely due to my driving style. It had enough "*****" to get around honestly. I sold it to my brother for his company, and then sat without a truck for a couple years.
I recently test drove a QC v6 2008 with 6 speed, and let me tell you, the clutch modulation is superb to older Rams. Passing power is ample when you down shift 2 gears, and acceleration from a dead stop is not "neck snapping" but it was very linear and smooth.
I ended up with a 2006 Hemi in the end because I got a hell of a deal on one. Also, the v6 I test drove had some rod knock when accelerating or putting a load around 2k rpm. Probably due to the previous owner downshifting wrong and overreved.
I have no experience with the 4.7, but I can tell you the 3.7 is no b!tch by any means.

Ok yall, we went and drove the truck this afternoon and yes, it's ok. I was actually kinda suprised by how well it did. BUT, we both decided that we'd be much better off just holding out for something a little more in line with what we need. Thanks for the input I do appreciate all the help.
