Default Any trick to install HID in headlight assembly?

I was wiring up the relay to the HID's this morning, along with changing my oil. Any trick to getting the bulbs seated into the assembly. They have a thick foam washer at the base that doesn't seem to want to compress enough. Do I need to take the headlight assembly out?

Ron

remove the washer as it's likely for packaging purposes.
Plug'n'play kits are just that. Easy. No headlight removal needed.

Like DD said, its prolly just for packaging..... Did it have a plastic cylinder around the bulb/s? Haha, Ill admit, I tried putting'er in there myself with that thing still on there. Just be careful not to touch the bulbs, as Im sure you know. An alcohol wipe is good to have around for this, wipe'em down before they go in, maximize the life of those bulbs as much as you can

The HIDExtra instruction mention a water proof seal but dang..If I remove the foam washer there is no other seal for the base.. Maybe it doesn't need one?

I did the same thing Foam ring was for packaging into the plastic casings (sure tight fit). After that they have a thinner rubber washer either red or black and the stock halogens had a red or black one as well. That rubber washer is what gives it the water tight seal. Good to see I wasn't the only one trying to cram the foam washer in there
