Default SRT10 Rims chrome to black?

Here is my delema.. i bought replica 20" srt10 rims off this guy for $200 bucks for all 4 rims. the chrome on the backside of the rim is kinda pitted and i want to paint the rims all black. what do you guys think of this or should i try to polish and doctor these things back to chrome. i got the rims and tires mounted now and all the weights are on the back of the rims so i dont have to worry about getting them rebalanced. With them being chrome is black is the better way to go (by the way the rest of my truck is blacked out) what is the process to sand the chrome, best paint, etc.... please help me decide!! and trust me the pics do no justice for the pitting

I don't know if replicas are chrome-clads but i doubt it. If that's case, powder coat.

Are they made by Factory Reproductions?

the front wheels were turned thats why it looks the way it looks. and as far as powder coating i called the local shop and they want 300 a wheel thats why i didnt take them to them. i figure painting them myself would be ALOT cheaper. and as far as i know they are factory replications off ebay when he got them. so i think my only 2 options are leaving them chrome or painting them myself. even if it takes 3 hours or 2 days it doesnt matter to me. just need someone to give me a plan to paint them or can i just follow the ones for the alluminum rims? or find someone in my area that is willing to trade for 17's with 35s?

It doesn't look right, send them to me the chrome will match my truck much nicer. That'll save you the pain of painting them. I'll even send you my 20s. Lol go black man.

$300 a wheel? That's ridiculous. I'd call more shops and find someone who will do them for around $100 a wheel.
