Default Powdercoating Shop??

Guys, does a regular auto body that does paint have a powder coating machine? Or do I actually have to look for a shop that only does powder coating?

powder coating requires putting whatever you want powder coated into an electrolysis machine then putting it into an oven to bake it.

If your'e thinking about powder coating your truck i wouldn't know prices but i'd assume that it's going to be really really expensive.

There are different processes to do paint versus powder coat, so definitely not all paint shops will also do powder coating. Your best bet is to just call around.

Guys on here gave me a ball park price. Not bad prices. Just getting front and rear bumper powder coated. then the grille will be painted. I just want it all done at the same shop.

powdercoaters have to have an acid tank, sandblaster, electrolysis machine, and oven. Most paint and body shops don't do this, but if you have a local racing shop or hot rod-ish type shop, they should know a powdercoater.

If not, im sure there are industrial powdercoaters around you. They usually wont come up as a powdercoating shop, they do things like fleet toolboxes and retail shelves, etc.

http://www.customcoaters.com/#CCdirectory has some. They quoted me at 100/bumper. To answer your question...probably not
