Default ***Largest tires that will fit a 17x7 wheel***

So my truck currently has a 245/70/17 on it right now but they just look weak. I called a few local tire shops here and the largest they will put on is a 255/70/17 because thats the policy for factory wheels.

I was wondering what you guys think will be the largest size tire that I can SAFELY accommodate on the 17x7 inch wheels that came on the truck.

Lol disturbed.....

yeah, I too thought the stockers were 8in wide? OP, the "safest" way would be 285's. Several people on here run 295's with no problems. Some even go 305, but I wouldnt recommend that. I personally wanna run 295/75/17's on my stockers, but I dont even know if that combo is possible, lol. Prolly just have to stick to 295/70's.

Maybe I helped?

10.5 safest for 7" inch wide
11.5 for a 8
and 12.5 for a 10
