I wouldn't call that truck "engulfed".

It doesn't have to be "engulfed" for the factory motor drivin fan to throw water in the intake either.

I never said it wouldn't. I just take engulfed as water at least to the bumper. I bet he was in long beach.

True, I was just thinking the speed he was going for those rooster tails would be bad news. Not a good idea at all sorry 75.

Oh yeah, I can say Hydrolock! Thats how my dumba$$ lost my ford, irresponsible idiot flying through a hole that had water up to the door handles (seeing a trend here johnny? ) Bent every damn rod in that b!tch, but, that ultimately led to my Ram, so maybe things happen for a reason....

Cool pic Op.... He had a reason to go through that, Im justa part-time idiot

Just seen idiots in the mudholes we had here in Orlando. We had a nasty one here around Sea world and I've seen too many get eaten up by hydrolock. Think before you run!

If you have the right intake on your truck, and its also not so deep... The water will spray behind the engine compartment, the only chance of running it into the engine compartment is if the water is high enough to hit the bumper, which in that picture it is not, otherwise at that speed the highest accumulation of water will be behind his tires. Would I do it in my new truck, not a chance in hell, in my old truck, HELLS YEAH!

right, but keep in mind, you won't keep that same speed with the truck moving forward. After a minute, the water will slow you down. It's not like the guy is running a snorkle. haha. Anyways, never a good idea to run full speed through deep water. You have to maintain a steady pace which will give you a good wake. Just my experience and thoughts been through it too. Only in the muddy water down here.

Hey Dave-o - I'm in Santa Clarita, near Magic Mountain. We're drowning up here, too. Nice to have some moisture, though.
