Default who wants to answere headlight questions? pics inside

my halogen projector lights are on but i havent hooked up the led or halo rings yet b/c i dont know what way i want it done.whats the best look? i can either have the led strip blink when the blinker is on or have it stay on when the headlights are on or hook it to a switch and turn them on when i want them on.next the halo rings-on a switch with or seperate from the led strip? halos connected to the headlights so they are on only when the headlights are? tell me how urs are hooked up or how u would do it.i wanna hook them up this weekend.

im thinking of just putting both of them on a switch and turning them on when i want them on.what gauge wire would be best for the power and ground? do i need to use the same gauge as the lights use?

Looks good i will say that...i personally dont see the point in the led strip, but if it works for you then by all means haha...I would have it part of the blinker. Either that or on with your halos, on a switch. Do you have your DRLs still on? If you have them disabled then I would put those halos on with the led strip, probably on a switch would be the easiest. If you really wanted to get advanced to associate them with your park lights.
I did that with my old jetta so that when just the park lights were on...not the headlights. The angel eyes that i had would be on. It looked pretty sweet then of course they were on when the headlights were too which gave it that hint of color. It was not hard to do with my jetta, all i needed were a couple jumpers. I don't know how these trucks are as i have not dealt with them for to long...

As for wiring #16 should be more than enough, i would even say 18. Again it all depends on the power draw. I say #16 to be safe, #18 would do it. If you think #14 is used in houses, and can handle 15 amps. There is no way that those headlights will do anywhere close to that.
I think I used #18 in my Jetta, and they were HID's so i would think you would be safe with 18 for your projectors

i ran my halos from my fogs to a switch because you couldnt really see them with the lights on, i would do a switch so that way you can just flip the switch and have just them on when its still semi light out and yet still have the switch left on at night if you want them on with the headlights
