Default towing ???

Alright so im planning a big move the 1st of next month from MI to NM.
I think ive managed to condense everything I have to have into a UHAUL 6x12 trailer. I know my truck can pull it no problem but i do have a couple questions.
I currently have my SC set to performance 91. Should I switch it to the tow tune? Also when using the tow mode im assuming I should leave the tow.haul button alone on my shifter, and let the SC take care of it all, Correct?
I just got my plugs all done and im gonna put some fresh amsoil in and rotate the tires before the trip.
Does anyone have any advice on how to keep the mpgs decent? and the trailer shiny side up?
thanks guys!

Never tow on the 91 tune, at least that is what SC says. Change it to the tow tune. Not sure about the tow haul button, all i have on the shifter is a button to take the OD off which I always turn off while towing. I would probably still use the tow haul button as if you did not have the SC tune while towing, but that is just me. Someone else will probably chime in about that.

funny, wonder what the differences between the DPS 91 tune and the SC 91 tune are? As far as I know you can tow with the DSP tunes.

I tow with the SC 91 tune all the time. I monitor AF and KR, I have yet to see an issue with either.

I tow much more weight than that in the 93 setting with my DSP. No knock.
Tow haul will lock out 5th and make the extra weight easier on the transmission. It's only about a 300rpm or so difference.
It's not a big deal to change tunes, on that long trip, it wouldn't hurt to swap to the tow tune just to be safe.

No. The button over rides SC.

The SC tow tune will still be there on the engine side, but on the trans side you need to use the button. Load the SC tow tune, press the button, and hit the road.
