They are both technically 2500s since they have the same frame. Who knows why dodge decided to put 1500 on the mega cab hemis and 2500 on the mega cab cummins.

The 2500 quad cabs could come with a hemi, but I've never seen a 2500 mega cab with a hemi.

this is wrong ....^^^^^^ i have a 2500 with a hemi . tons of people i know and people i see have a MC 2500 with a hemi . some have a cummins . but YOU can get a 2500 MC with a hemi ...i know it was ordered that way.

You're right, I was thinking wrong. It's the 1500 Mega cabs that do not come with a diesel. 2500 you can get either.

so my question is....why not just have all "2500"s with the CTD and all "1500"s with the Hemi.....would have solved a lot of confusin, since essentially the "1500" and "2500" Hemis are the same damn thing....

well im my dealings i wanted a 2500 for the frame towing and overall bulk ...i wanted MC aswell. so my next option was what engin...i wanted the hemi because i dont drive my truck but maby 3k a year so i ruled out the CUMMINS BECAUSE OF THE GELLING THAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED DUE TO LACK OF USE.. crap sorry about the capps . over all i didnt want a 1500 and knew i wanted a 2500 . so thank goodness the MC came with a hemi option
