you didn't silicone the wire holes? Shoot, I siliconed the holes after I passed the wires thru them, then did the bases at the roof, the caps at the bases and then a dab on each screw, cause I tore up a couple of them cheazy little rubber washers for the screws...

Like I said, not a hint of a leak inside, but hell, I'd like to know how enough condensation is getting in the caps to fog???

I'd say it is if you don't know WTF you are doing when you install them. Going on 4 years now with mine and no leaks and my truck sits outside during the Florida "monsoon" season...

I used silicone, I just don't think enough. I am going to buy another tube of it. Only problem is I don't want to back the screws out all the way. Is there a "non-goupy" more fine liquid silicon?

OE, I siliconed the sh*t out of the holes and under the bases, and when I put the screws in, I shoulda done it by hand, but used a cordless and went a little too far on some of them and messed up the little rubber washer. So I sealed ALL the screws with clear nail polish... Wonderful product. Great for fixing wraps on fishing rods, sealing the screws on scopes and mounts, etc. When you need to take a screw out, it's also easy to just break the seal with a screwdriver...

I have the almost the same problem w/the Recons. But there is water in the lights. I called Recon and they first said to take a blow dryer and try drying them out. That was stupid. As I was doing that I was trying to take a video to show Recon and I ended up melting one of the lenses. Now it looks like a big boil ontop of the light. Told Recon about it and said that was ridicoulous to have to do that. I would pay for the one light and they should have to pay for the rest. There was water coming from the chrome bezel and the plastic light. Well they sent me new lights and i was wondering if i should seal between the bezel and the cab? If water is going to get in between the bezel and the lens there has to be some place for the moisture to go. ahh. This is driving me nuts... Do I dare silicon the lens to the bezel?

I also had a problem with the little washers. They would roll out of the screw. But if I didnt screw the light down tight there was a gap between the cab and bezel.

So far I have had not had any water in the cab. I siliconed the screws and wire holes pretty heavy.

That's hard to believe Recon would tell you that, I personally know two guys who had theirs fog up and Recon sent them new sets, didn't even want their old lights back.

I siliconed the f*ck out of everyplace there was a seam, opening, etc. and if it's like monsoon here with almost tropical rain forest moisture in the air, they will fog (never get pure-out water though)...
