Starter.

Next time that happens hit your starter with a hammer. If it starts immediately after that then that's for sure your problem. They're relatively cheap and easy to replace.

first thoughts would be loose battery terminations, then check starter solenoid, then the starter itself.

In my experiences that I've had with older cars if it clicks, it's trying to get the starter to turn over, the battery just doesn't have enough juice to kick it over. It doesn't take much battery power to light up the gear selection on your dash. I would have the battery tested.

that sounds like wiring. Are you the original owner? Any previous problems? how long has this blinker problem been happening?

getting your battery tested is free and easy. You could do that on the way home one day, but with the turn signal problems, it sounds like a short or something to me

It's either the battery or the alternator not putting out enough voltage to completely recharge the battery. Have both checked. Just my opinion.
