anywhere between 11-17 mpg. A lot of it depends on what condition the throttle body, egr, 02 sensors, air filter, exhaust, spark plugs, tires, etc etc are in. Make sure you are running at least 89 grade fuel. The tick is pretty normal, the cause of it is, well, if you do a search on here for "hemi tick" you will find many explanations. Welcome to the forum, and watch out for the mod bug that everyones getting bit by here.

Yep you can Google "Hemi Tick" and find 411,000 hits, is common and unless it's "loud" it's nothing to worry about...

My Hemi tick is pretty common. Mine started at just 400 miles:-( i have an '08.

You'll need to do your first tune-up maintenance interval being at 30kmi.
New plugs are a must every 30kmi. Only get CHEAP COPPER plugs, nothing fancy.
You'll also need to do the differential fluids.

I've had the tick since day 1. Dealer told me it was common and I've found that to be true. Just drive it and take care of it and enjoy it. A nice exhaust and/or a good stereo and you won't even notice it - LOL. Nice find with miles that low.

By the way, I get 10 - 11 mpg with mine only when towing my 30 ft RV trailer. On the highway at reasonable speeds, I get around 18 and haven't gotten higher than that at times. That's with regular ethanol blended 87 octane gas and nothing special under the hood except a K&N dropin filter (no tuner).

You can try the 6.1 pushrods to get rid of it. Also, some have confused the tick with a broken exh manifold bolt and exh leak
