Can you do this with the stock 20" chrome clads?
Has anyone done that?

From what Ive gathered abarmby, Those chrome clads are plastic, therefore can't be powdercoated. But they can still be painted

I was thinking more along the lines of stripping off the cladding, then powder coating them?
Anyone done this, or heard of it being done?
Al.

Are you referring to the pedal-style 20's? Again, from my readings on here, Those are plastic pieces 'cemented' onto a steel wheel. If you eventually pull those off, I think you'd just be left with the basic steelie design underneath....

the 06 up wheels are just the aluminum rims with a plastic piece cemented over them....the earlier ones look just like the flower pedal. You can paint the chrome piece, but not powdercoat.
