Default PCM reset and throttle recal???

I was googling for information on tuners and came across a discussion on another site about a procedure to reset the PCM, especially after any mods, and let it relearn your driving habits, etc. It said to pull the PCM fuse, turn the ignition to start until any dinging stops in the cap - 10 to 15 seconds, replace the fuse, and drive. Then in the same post there was a procedure posted to recalibrate the throttle by turning the key on, pushing the gas to WOT, holding for 5 secs, turn the key off, wait another 5 seconds, and then slowly return the gas pedal to closed throttle.

Anyone know anything about doing this and if either really has any merit? This discussion was specific to 03 and up Rams with Hemi's...

I have reset my PCM this way and I noticed a change in the way my 04 performed. After reading this I think I will do it again because I just moved from Florida to Missouri and the altitude and weather change may change my driving habits.
