Default Superchips FP 3865

Sorry guys, I've tried to keep my questions and research to the tuner/programmer specific threads but I'm not getting much response.

First of all, considering my lack of mods and lack of interest in doing expensive performance mods, I've decided to get a Flashpaq 3865 if I get anything at all. So, my first question is where and how much? I won't go advertising for someone that isn't a sponsor so I won't say where but I've found a site selling the 3865 for $295 shipped. Is that about as good as I'm going to find? I see them selling for as much as $350 to $380 shipped on ebay.

I'm hoping to get some noticeable help with towing my RV and I'd like to be able to program for performance or economy when not towing as well. I may get a CAI at some point but doubt I'll be changing any cams, headers, y-pipes, cats, and things like that. So, with a K&N dropin filter and cat-back exhaust, what can I realistically expect from the Superchips with respect to any of the 3 "categories", towing, performance, economy?

i think im going to go with the Superchips 3865 flashpaq but now im just stuck on what would be the best CAI to go with it anyone got any ideas? i was thinking about going with a "2002-2007 Ram 1500 4.7 Volant Cold Air Intake" but honestly i cant even tell whats better with all these brands trying to compete with each other...other than that i had some thoughts about K&N but i dont know i feel like i cant trust the markets these days so id rather go with personal prefferances bc they dont have to make money by recommending the best CAI with the SC product. Any takers?

FYI i got a 2005 4.7L with 2chamber dual exhaust flowmasters

ANY HELP AT ALL will be GREATLY appreciated

Don't know much about CAI's yet but what I read about K&N or any other kit that uses non metal tubing flowing cooler air makes logical sense to me. CAI will probably be my next project after I get my SC FP 3865, get my plugs changed, etc.

I hear ya. I just have no use for the cortex because I have no other vehicles to use it on that it would be compatible with. But I ordered my FP today for $295 - no tax, no shipping. It said "on sale" on this site I bought from - regular price $349 which is about what I see it selling for in most other places.

to answer your earlier questions, you're gonna be pleasantly surprised. keep it on the 91 tune setting. it has the best hp, tq, and mpg of any of the settings. not even sure why they offer the other settings --they arent as good

Do they have a tow program though that is better than stock tow/haul mode? And, if so, how exactly? Have tried several threads and a couple of sites and have yet to get an answer to this particular question.

I get better results (I guess got, no longer have it, sold because I am dumb. lol) when I run 91 and tow, than tow and tow. But I just pulled a seadoo trailer, and that thing don't weight a damn thing. SO if you are going light I wouldn't switch, if you go heavy maybe try it out. But a few guys on here said they were not happy with the tow tune. They loved everything else, just not the tow tune.
