Default leveling kits

Hello all. I have been lurking for a while but decided with all the knowledge on here, why not join. I am looking to level my 08 ram 1500 slt qc 2wd. Yes, I used the search function and could not find an answer to my questions. I guess I should start by telling you what I am looking for. I want to have the lift look with meaty tires, I guess a mudding look. I live in the city and will not be mudding very often but I love the look so I have bought a Truxx 2" leveling kit for the front and 1" blocks for the back. I have the 20" rims and want to put on some 35/1250/20's and am wondering if they will rub or if I will be good to go. After that I am planning on putting on a magnaflow exhaust with dual tips out the back. What do you guys think and what else can you think of that I will need to get to make this a success. I look forward to great conversations and seeing all the awesome trucks on here.

35"s will fit on a 4x4 with a leveling kit but might rub a little at full lock. I havn't seen any of the 2wd's leveled so I really can't say that they will be good to go or not.. What stock size tires are you running now?

welcome to DF! I dont think you will fit those tires. I maybe wrong, but I think you will need more lift to fit them with that year truck. 33x12.50 no problem

+2, you'll definately need more lift than a 2 inches to run a 35 on an 08. I believe the factory tire on the 20's was about equal to a 33" tall tire. Also, you may want to look at a LT tire or even a tall Passenger tire just because it would save you big time money over a high floatation tire like a 35. Tires for 20's are already more expensive than say a tire for a 17" rim. If you're not offroading, it won't make much difference to you. Just my 2 cents.

Thanks for the responses guys. I now have the stock tire which is 33". I want to get the look of it being lifted without having to spend the extra grand on a full lift. I guess I will have to stay with the 33". The kit says I will not need any extensions on the shocks, does anyone know how true that is? thanks again for the help or if anyone has any others ideas please feel free to chime in.

Your a 2wd drive so you can buy 4" lift spindles from cst then put your leveling kit on top of that. You can install it yourself too. Then you can easily fit 35's.
