My Ram's back home... (Post Wreck)

Ok, so 103 days after the wreck, I FINALLY got my truck back yesterday. This past week I had been waiting on the Stealership to replace the PCM, somehow it was damaged in the wreck also, didn't find out until the body shop went to try and take it for a test drive, insurance company tried to blame it on the body shop and didn't want to pay for it, but they finally caved and wrote Dodge a check....

And, here's some pics of the truck now:

Also, the body shop was kind enough to ditch my eBay running boards and replace them with Mopars:

Looks great man! Guess they did a good job, even if it took awhile to get there! Looks like a brand new truck!

Did you get the bullbar after the wreck?

Looks like they did nice work. I bet its nice to have your truck back home and safe.

Yeah, it definately looks like it was worth the wait. Our Durango was down for a little over a month, not even half as long as yours, but damn I wish it wouldve been, they didnt "burn" in the colors well at all, + shadowing on both doors. Ah well....... (plus we had to pay $300 for 2 tires! Thats a whole 'nother thread, lol)

Back to YOU, it looks like a brand new truck. The running boards look awesome too. Was the bodyshop recommended by the insurance company, or did you choose them? I went against the cardinal rule of NOT taking it to where they recommend, but the bodyshop had a real good rep. Oh, did I mention it was only $82 from being totaled? :(

Glad it all worked out for ya! Nice Truck!

So in the end about 103 days to get your boards upgraded and a nice buffing of the body.

The bullbar is about a year old now. To be honest, I liked it at first, but I'm thinking about taking it off now.....

Yes, I had forgotten how much I love that truck.. It's great being back in my vehicle again...

I did not go with a recommended bodyshop. The guy that did mine is a personal acquaintance. He does body work on all my Grandfather's classic cars, and is very meticulous about his work. He gave me a full parts/labor/paint/rental warranty for as long as I own the truck. Hell, he repainted my truck 4 times before he was happy with it.

It's a BakFlip G2. It's been on my truck since December '07. I love it and wouldn't hesitate buying another one. For as much as I get in and out of the back of my truck, and as much crap as I've stacked on top of it for various reasons, it has held up excellent. Does a great job of keeping my bed dry.

I want to, but my wife really wants me to get rid of it. She's really worried about how safe it is now, and how it would hold up in a similar wreck. We have a 10 month old girl now, and her safety is a number 1 priority. I hate it, but I do agree with my wife, and I'm in the market for a new vehicle...
