Default Cutout, or aftermarket Muffler??

I know this question is the most asked on the boards, but I am just not sure what route to go. Im afraid if I get a muffler (Hooker Aerochamber, Magnaflow) that I will get tired of the noise, driving my truck everyday, but then again Im wondering if the cutout will be just to loud I may never use it. I was actually wondering if its possible to hook up a cutout and then install a new muffler after the cutout so that I could switch between the stock muffler, or my aftermarket muffler? Is there enough room under the truck for this?

I was thinking of this myself but when I bought the truck my stock muffler was already gone. There should be enough room, just keep the mufflers small. Your gonna also have to fabricate or rig up some custom hangers for it.

that and they make mufflers that sound aggressive and aren't that loud on the inside of your truck.

I have a resonator on mine, it's still loud but very bearable and has a nice healthy tone to it. It also ROARS when you go WOT.

If you don't like driving around super loud all the time you can always get a resonator put in for relatively cheap.

cutout

If I was doing it all over again, I would have kept the stock muff. There are times when a loud exhaust is just a pain in the ***. Like rolling up to grandmas house, showing up to a client meeting, etc.

+1 with Rubberfrog.

I wish I would've kept my stock setup and just added an e-cutout when I wanted some extra growl. It wasn't bad when my ride to work was only 10 minutes, but now I spend 2 1/2 hours a day in the truck, it's a little annoying sometimes...
