Thanks man....ok well ill just list a few, id have to start a new thread to go over the 18 (literally) times its been into the shop, each for more than one thing (i dont have time to bring it in for EVERY issue) and I baby it, no burnouts and little offroad
Transmission replaced
Rear Main Seal x3
Blend Door x2
Pumpkin grenaded once
One speaker blew 4 times on stock HU, they just told me to get aftermarkets and they didnt know why (when I bought a new HU no problems)
ECM once, stalled out a few times

those are some of the biggies...and OP, I had issues with the water on the back seat due to the 3rd brake light twice, they replaced it but it still leaked so I siliconed it the second time

Matt99 Stop babying it. That's what's wrong with it!!!

As for the original problem, yeah, Dodge isn't going the be responsible for a vehicle bought used. They have no control over what happened during the first ownership. The selling dealer, maybe, Dodge, no way.

Have you pulled out the rear seats and checked the cabin vents? They aren't sealed really at all, but just pressed in place and tabs that hold them there with a cheezmo faom type gasket. Water can sit ontop of them form outside and work itslef in and cause a leak if one is cracked.
There are 2 vents behind the rear seats mounted on the wall. if you look between the bed and the cabin from outside you can see the 3"x4" rectanular shaped cabin vents.
Unless you have apparent water leak Above that area???
if not, take both of the vents out, put rtv sealant on them and slap them back into place. i sealed up one side completely(exhaust side to reduce interior noise) and rtv'd up the other when I dynamatted my truck so there were no future issue's with leaks on my subwoofers.

Well I picked the truck up yesterday and i had the repair place write up what they did to the truck. They said they found THREE (3) leaks in body seams? one on top of the rear door behind the track that holds the weather stripping on ABOVE the doors, the other was a pinhole in the body seal on the top P/s of the truck (under that black strip at the top rears also pass side and the other they said was the rear window area top body seal. Now I personally took the rear seat out and looked everywhere and the ONLY leak I found was there SHODDY installation of the rear window. They said they were able to remove/clean-up/re-install the rear window which was brand new. But I think there saving face because the window in there now is definitely NOT that window because I marked it and knew how it was and this one seams to fit tighter with less gaps around the outside. We will see if it is fixed come the first rain here in NY. Cross your fingers!!!

Thumbs down

JohnNY, funny you bring this up as I am actually in a case right now for rear window leaks in my 08 QCSB (which I bought new 8/31/08). The rear window has been addressed 4 times (resealed once, replaced 3 times), and the truck has spent 31 days in the shop.

I also had the tailgate repainted as there was debris under the paint, in the undercoat.

After several case evaluations with various attorneys, I hired a lemon lawyer who works on a non-contingency basis. He sent a demand letter to Chrysler, which they acknowledged receiving and had 30 days to respond to before the matter went to court. Yesterday (the 29th) was the 30th day and I have not heard from my lawyer. Hopefully they get to us next week, or it looks like Chrysler will be out some more cash.

The dealer provided the Carfax and it's clear The truck is perfect in every way except I think it's main purpose in life was that of a submarine. the entire design of these rear windows just sucks. the place that repaired mine had Dodge Rams in there everyday for the rear windows and its not just the older 2nd, 3rd gens there a big problem now in the 4th gen. The window has literally this little area that it seals around on the window, you would think that Dodge would fix this window design but I guess they'll just look for another bailout in the future. Waiting for the rain to see if it leaks again.

My dad has lemon lawed 2 cummins. One a 98, 2nd gen and one a 04 3rd gen. The 04 had numerous turbo issues and was eventually lemon lawed and the 2nd gen had an AC leak where water would pour into the cab from the vents on the floor. Both were very lengthy cases and Im not sure if you can do anything being that your not the original owner. I would look into other glass companies. Good luck and hope you get this sorted out!

in the process of lemon law/ breach of warranty on my ram for the vibration issue. bought mine certified pre-owned. If it is used they would go after chrysler for breach of warranty. have to have a min. of 3 trip to the dealer for the same issue.
