I'd look at the vendors on this site. If you go somewhere else because the DF vendor is too much money, see if they'll price match to keep your business. Nothing in life is free, including this site.

i had an ARE LSII that I was very pleased with. i'm pretty sure they have a website that can tell you where the nearest vendors are.

I purchased my tonneau cover from www.autoanything.com. It is an Extang Black Max (black frame) and the best part is the offer FREE Shipping. The cost was around $185.00 plus tax.

Never been a fan of snap on tonneau covers. Always a pain and the snaps tend to tear the fabric if you take it on and off all the time. I prefer the velco type but they are more expensive: JMHO.

I looked into it and found it was more cost effective to build my own. I did the whole things for about $120-150 (not sure since I did it in conjunction with DIY spray in bed liner). Here are pics if you are interested. It is a pain to take on and off but since I don't do it regularly, it isn't a problem for me.

Later,
Rough

The only thing you can do is ask around for opinions. As you know a salesperson will tell you what you want to hear while bashing other brands.

I have a folding cover from Peragon. The reason I got this one was I wanted something that would swing completely out of my way when I want to use the entire bed, and it's light weight (70-80#). The cover is impressive and has a low profile.

I got a Truxedo LoProfile from Truckxpressions.com. I've bought several things from them (they're a sponsor too) and always had good results. I like the Truxedo a lot...not cheap but very good quality. I didn't want a snap down and have to mess with them. This one rolls up with the cross bars attached so they aren't rolling around in the bed and secures with elastic straps at the front. It attaches along the sides with very strong velcro. I've had no problems in wind with it. Sorry I don't have any pics right now...been pretty crappy weather.

Truckxpressions has them in colors as well, but order a fabric sample first to make sure you like the color as anything other than black is non returnable. My body is Graphite metallic and their gray was about 3 shades too light when I got it. Wasn't the end of the world, though, just went to an automotive paint store and had them mix up some vinyl paint in Graphite then shot it, and a perfect match to the body.

Hi,

I just ordered one of the Peragon covers for my 05 SB. I too like the folding aspect of the unit. How easy was the install?

Thanks!
