My 2010 laramie crew has a whirling noise coming from underneath truck and gets worse after 1o minutes. It is not there on start up in morning. Technician says it could be Catalytic converter back pressure.I only have 2600 miles on it and it did not make this mnoise in the first 1000 miles. No lights on dash but mileage is getting worse.Anyone have any thoughts?

has the dealer looked at it? With it being a 2010 and 2600 miles, it would be on thier rack by now.

Hey Redcross, I recommend posting a new thread in the 4th gen section. They may be able to help you more with your issue. Also, warranty should cover it.

Wow, surprised they actually had one in stock. When I replaced mine, not a single advance or autozone in Virginia had the EGR in stock or in the warehouse. The EGR is a common problem with the trucks. I recommend when you change it out, remove the airbox so you have room to work.

I am glad to hear that you got it figured out. The check engine light could be a 1 of tons of things, usually something simple. I had it come on in my 03' 2500 and all that set it off was a loose gas cap according to a tech at the Jag dealership I worked at. A new one solved the problem!
